Why I've not been writing

What is there worthwhile to say about me? Not a lot really. I write a bit, but read more about the art than actual doing it. And I've write a lot of books on the subject but don't concentrate on them well enough to benefit much.

So, there you are, that's me, as a writer, in a nutshell. I'm more wishing to than doing. And why is that, I wonder?

If I went onto twitter right now, I could easily be there for over an hour: reading and commenting and waiting for responses. And I do spend time constructing my comments and modifying them to suit the character limitations.

So that's a kind of writing - in its way.

I think what's held me up has been the Elsie Bidwell story. This I think is because it became just too deep and dark and I just couldn't push myself to carry on. You can't make light of a young girl being groomed on Facebook and then being killed, albeit accidentally, by her intending rapist. And it's not the kind of story I would like to read.

So, I need to start afresh with something lighter.
That, then, is where I start out from today. I'd like to write a mystery, and that might involve someone's demise. And that dear reader is where I'll start from today.
